ABOUT THE ROLE
As the leader of this group, this individual will be responsible for all revenue generating activities, and overall quota attainment for the group. Director, Sales will work with the Business Development Executive (BDE) and Business Development Representative (BDR) teams to exceed account growth and ARR attainment goals. The BDE team is responsible for researching, developing and securing net new business within a designated territory for all product offerings in their Accela portfolio. This will be the result of successfully developing the BDE team, working with our Accela Partners, Marketing, Legal, Product, Professional Services, Sales Operations, Support and other Accela channels to exceed Accela quarterly and annual goals.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with most Accela teams, including Professional Services, Legal, RFP team, Solution Engineers, Sales Operations, Support and Product Development.
- Have the opportunity to lead, develop and inspire the BDE and BDR team members to achieve their personal and professional goals.
- Have the ability to positively guide team members and clients through the sales cycle.
- Have direct positive impact on client retention, development, and growth.
- Forge strong mutually beneficial relationships with Accela Partners.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have prior people management, sales and leadership experience
- 10+ years of experience selling enterprise wide solutions (both software and services) to local government agencies or the private sector
- Industry domain knowledge
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to achieve set goals and deadlines
- Understanding of project delivery and coordination with delivery teams
- Prior RFP response skills
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
