A Little About the Role
As a dynamic Director of Sales at ChildPlus, you’ll lead, manage and serve all sales operations and oversee activities of sales reps focused on bringing the market leading Head Start software to more Head Start programs, retaining the current clients, and cross-selling additional value added services (Assessments, Training, etc..). The exciting challenge of this role is to achieve company targets of new centers at existing accounts, and expansion of additional services including but not limited to payment processing, data hosting and parent engagement to existing customers. You will also build and manage all aspects of the sales department inclusive of setting and driving the quantity of rep activities, scoring and coaching the quality of activities, and ensuring sufficient creation of pipeline to meet the company plan. You’ll work closely with the following departments: Marketing, Product Management, Customer Support, and Finance for the purpose of ensuring the delivery of first-class customer experience.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in all facets of sales and marketing planning, inclusive of quota-setting, headcount analysis, business planning and opportunity alignment
- Play a strategic role in building creative sales strategies that focus on customer satisfaction and revenue generation for the business
- Conduct reviews of the existing account sales motion and strategies to identify areas of improvement
- Create comprehensive and compelling strategic proposals that leverage the process of continuous improvement to realize marginal gains throughout the sales process
- Play an analytical role in conducting research and performing analyses on the performance of sales department ensuring prompt delivery and accuracy of recurring reports to senior management
- Identify & develop new market opportunities for the business within existing accounts or the Head Start/Publicly Funded Early Childhood Education Market
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure best practices in data collection and order creation to optimize performance
- Collaborate with Marketing to ensure marketing initiatives support sales efforts and align to business goals
- Develop a deep understanding of our penetration of the competitive landscape
- Take the lead in hiring, training and retaining sales team members
- Set sales goals, compare performance to goals and adjust goals as needed
- Assess current team processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop individual quotas and assign opportunities for team members
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
- Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment
- Asses individual performance through observation and measurement and suggest corrective actions as needed
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate will have…
- 8+ years of Sales experience, including SaaS & SMB or Government entities
- 3+ years of developing and managing a Sales team
- BA/BS/Master’s degree in sales, business administration or similar relevant experience
- Experience working with large data sets from multiple sources, including HubSpot, and Netsuite
- Experience with Sales CRMs, like HubSpot/Salesforce
- Customer-focused approach to communications
- An experienced salesperson and team leader
- Someone who easily builds relationships and trust while connecting remotely with distributed teams
- Experienced in SMB and/or Government agency sales with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Detail-oriented with an ability to balance multiple requests and projects- you never miss a beat and are ready to roll up your sleeves to help drive organization change
- Consistently well spoken with a knack for interpersonal communication & relationship skills
- Collaborative by default but you readily work independently to achieve personal and company goals
- A coach and mentor to team members and colleagues
- Energetic, forward-thinking and creative with high ethical standards
