The Director of Sales Development is a key leadership role within our software company. This person will be responsible for building and leading a team of business development representatives (BDRs) who are tasked with generating new business opportunities and qualified leads for the sales team.
The Director of Sales Development will be responsible for setting the strategy and goals for the BDR team and ensuring they have the tools and support they need to succeed. This person will also be responsible for hiring, training, and managing the BDR organization, as well as for providing ongoing coaching and support to help them grow and develop their skills.
In addition to leading the BDR team, the Director of Sales Development will also be responsible for working closely with other teams within the company, including marketing, product, human resources, finance, and onboarding, to develop and execute effective lead generation and sales development strategies. This person will be expected to have a deep understanding of the software industry and our target market, and to use that knowledge to drive results for the company.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record of success in sales development, with experience leading and managing BDR Managers. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. They will also be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Overall, the Director of Sales Development will be a key contributor to the growth and success of our software company and will play a critical role in driving revenue and market share.
What you'll do:
- Set the strategy and annual targets for the BDR organization
- Hire, train, and onboard new hires onto the sales team
- Develop and execute effective sales plans and strategies targeting SMB and Enterprise prospects
- Identify and target key market segments and potential customers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
- Build and design prospecting scripts and email sequences
- Work closely with other teams, such as marketing, Revenue Operations to improve systems and process
- Monitor and analyze sales data and trends, and use that information to inform decision-making
- Ensure the sales team has the resources and support they need to succeed: training, systems, accounts and more
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to help individual contributors and front-line managers grow and develop their skills
- Meet or exceed sales monthly and quarterly targets and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.
What you'll bring:
- 4+ Years experience in a Sales Development Leadership Role at a SaaS company
- Proven track record of success at previous companies
- Experience and familiarity with our products, line of business and SMB sales are a plus
- Commitment to beating sales targets
- Experience with sales enablement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or a related field preferred
- Experience with leading remote teams
- Experience working with Salesforce.com, Gong, Outreach and Google Suite
Where you'll work:
We're 100% remote with HQ located in McKinney, TX
~10% Travel for Customer Conferences and Team Offsites

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role is between $91,000 - $131,000 + commissions. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
