Position Summary:
We're looking for an experienced Sales Engineering Leader to join our team and play a critical role in delivering the Onapsis platform to potential customers. Using deep technical knowledge and understanding of the product, our Sales Engineers work closely with our Sales and Engineering teams to provide a world-class experience throughout the sales cycle. This role will lead and scale our Sales Engineering function as we aim to double our revenue year over year and continue to build a best-in-class sales process for our customers.

As a Sales Engineering Leader at Onapsis, you will lead a team that partners with our global sales teams as a technical resource while engaging with prospective clients within the Business Critical Applications space. You and your team will be responsible for understanding potential customers’ technical needs and translating how our platform offerings could be a fit.

You’ll manage a diverse team of sales engineering professionals and maintain your technical expertise to engage directly with prospects and work cross-functionally. You’ll drive operational efficiencies across the sales organization to ensure we build a best in class team that scales.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach, hire and scale a team of Sales Engineers
  • Build out our sales engineering playbook and train members of our sales, sales engineering, and customer success teams on our process
  • Report progress on sales engineering goals to the executive team
  • Work with sales and company leadership to identify areas of improvement in our sales process
  • Become an expert in the Onapsis product and technology stack
  • Work closely with prospective customers to clearly communicate and demonstrate Onapsis’ value proposition

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of Sales Engineer experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing a team
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • Must be able to Travel upwards of 50%
  • Experience working with Sales Teams, Channel, and System Integrators
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Familiar with SAP, Oracle, and SalesForce.Com preferred
  • Experience with cloud providers, preferred
