Your Opportunity
Scion is paving a path in student living, and we are seeking a talented Director of Sales, Institutional Channel to join us in executing our vision. This position will focus on generating new business and revenue by partnering with national, international and/or on campus university organizations to achieve annual and long-term resident satisfaction and financial objectives. The Director of Sales, Institutional Channel is a strategic leader that excels in a fast-paced, agile, corporate sales environment. This role demands principled business thinking, well-honed leasing and sales skills, a stubborn refusal to settle, and an appreciation for bold innovation.
Your Responsibilities
- Gain full rate bulk, master, and group student housing agreements.
- Develop stellar Para University relationships with national/international and on campus social groups and organizations. Group examples but not limited to athletic departments and teams, scholastic clubs, social clubs, and international students.
- Be the āface of Scionā to these groups at all touchpoints, i.e.: national offices, corporate offices, organizational lead on and off campus.
- Create the business strategy that includes planning, presentation, performance tracking, troubleshooting and hands-on engagement to maximize relationships to drive bulk and master agreements.
- Cultivate, enhance, and leverage external and internal relationships to elevateĀ the Scion brand.
- LeadĀ theĀ development ofĀ pricing strategies andĀ rentalĀ ratesĀ and assist with the development ofĀ demand analysis and deployment strategies.
- Attract, hire, retain and train exceptional team members.
- Provide leadership and coaching for staff performance and foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Prepare accurate, reliable forecasting reports for executive management.Ā
- ManageĀ and drive allĀ aspects ofĀ sales process and proactively develop potential leads and opportunities for future growth.
- Collaborate with the Brand & Marketing team to ensure alignment between sales and marketing efforts.Ā
- Join forces with our site team members to offer the best level of resident experience.

What We RequireĀ
- Expert knowledge of Student Housing/Multi-family industry, current market trends and economic factors.
- A sales hunter who understands how to craft a business plan and drive revenue.
- Sharp business and sales acumen.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills as well as a professional attitude.
- Established negotiator.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment with highly skilled professionals.
- Proficient in Entrata Property Management System.
Operational Details
- Based at Scionās Chicago corporate headquarters. Travel required.
- This is a full-time position, working during standard daytime business hours.
