Summary of Role: Director Sales, West Coast Territory
The Director of Sales for US, West is responsible for managing and selling the Notified Investor Relations and Public Relations products and services into various vertical markets, to include Enterprise, Mid-Market, and SMB companies; develop and implement strategic growth business plans that include program objectives, strategies, timelines and identification of recommendations for new service offerings; identify and qualify new business prospects by determining if the prospect matches the Notified solutions, outlining opportunities and benefits of pursing a relationship; establish an excellent working relationship with clients, execute local field marketing activities. The Director of Sales is also responsible for ensuring the teams follow all processes and activities in a consistent manner with all other country/territory managers.
What you will do:
  • Motivate managers and/or direct reports to achieve assigned quotas, increasing sales productivity and revenue growth
  • Translate high level sales strategy into clear, actionable goals for direct reports; regularly communicate goals to direct reports and track performance against goals
  • Leverage Sales Operations team: set annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets for sales team; manage ongoing process for tracking sales; manage pipeline, utilize CRM to forecast pipeline progression
  • Lead sales team and support staff through quarterly detailed account planning process; ensure plans are aggressive enough to reach targets
  • Train direct reports on how to clearly communicate solution sales opportunities to optimize sales performance
  • Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and mentorship
  • Coordinate pursuits and account insights with other country/territory leaders in the sales organization
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned segment and territory or area of expertise
  • Recruit and hire staff; take proactive steps to retain existing staff
  • Proactively identify obstacles for direct reports, motivate and coach
  • Visit customers in person to close deals and expand offerings

What you will bring:
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, information technology, or a related field

Experience:
  • You will be passionate about selling and winning business with a strong customer-centric mindset
  • You will bring your strong motivational skills to drive your teams performance
  • You will have a history of shattering quotas and closing deals
  • Minimum of 10 years years experience in sales or business development with increasingly responsibilities
  • Minimum 3 years of IR/ PR experience. You will have strong grasp and highly networked in the industry
  • Minimum 5 years lead or supervisory experience preferred

Other:
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required.
  • Ability to be face to face, visiting clients 2 weeks out of each month
