Job Summary
The Director of Global Sales Operations is a highly detail-oriented and analytical leader responsible for driving sales effectiveness across a rapidly growing global organization. Functions in scope for this position include sales operations and business intelligence. The leader will work closely with sales leadership to drive the annual sales planning and GTM strategy process including territory mapping, compensation program design, and quota modeling, and will also be responsible for providing data-driven insights and forward-looking indicators for continuous improvement of sales forecasts and rep efficiency analytics. This role will also work with senior leaders across the business to design, develop and evolve reporting and analytics solutions while guiding the business on BI best practices. This role will lead and develop a sales analyst and BI developers’ team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both direct and channel sales operations, preferably in high-growth SaaS businesses, and have advanced systems knowledge in Salesforce.com and BI tools. Prior experience leading data analytics and/or finance functions is desirable. This role is a senior-leadership position reporting to the SVP of FP&A and Sales Operations within the office of the CFO.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Design, implement, and manage sales planning, reporting, and forecasting processes by region
- Analyze current-state trends compared to historical ones and develop standardized reports and metrics around forward-looking indicators to provide insights to sales leadership
- Own all sales metric reporting and analysis including pre- and post-sale teams
- Support the sales team to resolve conflicts around account management and territory alignment
- Lead Commission and SPIFF design process to align with GTM strategy based on feedback from the field and analysis of performance against the current structure
- Collaborate with FP&A and Commissions teams to recommend to sales leadership:
- equitably sales force quotas, ensuring the firm’s financial objectives are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources through the quota program
- optimal deployment of sales personnel, making recommendations for changing sales roles, coverage models, or team configurations to maximize sales productivity
- Manage ad-hoc analyses to support special program initiativesÂ
- Provide recommendations on business process improvement
- Partner with Education team leadership to support enablement
- Partner with MDM, enterprise applications, and order management functions to recommend and support processes that enhance and maintain customer data quality
- Manage the end-to-end development of reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI while leading overall platform development and administration
- Lead and develop a team of Sales Analysts to strengthen partnerships with sales at all levels
- Lead team of BI developers as BI expands its footprint as an enterprise-wide Reporting tool
