Director, Sales Process and Technology

As the Director, Sales Process and Technology you will drive the strategy and execution of sales processes, sales technology and automation to improve overall sales performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving sales processes, optimizing Salesforce and developing productive and collaborative relationships with sales leadership.
This position reports to the Head of Sales Operations and will have a weekly in-office component in our NYC HQ.
In this role you will:Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to sales and marketing leadership on sales processes, systems, and technology; ensure that strategies and initiatives are enabled through appropriate processes, systems, and technology
- Seek proactive collaboration with the sales and marketing leadership team to understand their objectives, deliverables and pain points to inform the Sales Process and Technology roadmap
- Motivate, coach and guide a team of subject matter experts to deliver on the Sales Process and Technology roadmap; drive continuous improvements sprint by sprint
- Manage the Sales Process and Technology roadmap execution; ensuring delivery against deadlines through proactive prioritization of backlog with highest business value and clear accountabilities for projects and deliverables
Strategy
- Define the vision sales processes, systems, and technology best-practices for sales reps to work as effectively as possible, and ensure buy-in from the sales and marketing teams and leadership
- Develop the Sales Process and Technology roadmap of key objectives, projects, and features to unlock sales rep productivity gains
Processes
- Develop, refine, and standardize sales methodologies to maximize productivity and align to the overall company strategy
- Define sales processes with input from Sales and Marketing Leadership and teams that contributes to a seamless end-to-end customer purchasing journey; ensuring right roles and responsibilities between internal teams and effective handoffs between teams
- Monitor key performance indicates in the sales cycles to identify pain points or bottlenecks in sales processes, and inform data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Develop Sales Playbooks to define the formal sales processes and capture key learnings to drive continuous improvement of playbooks
- Develop training programs in collaboration with Sales Enablement to train sales reps in the Sales Processes; and monitor sales rep adherence to playbooks
Technology
- Define the vision of how technology can enable best-practice sales processes through automation and availability of the right information, in the right place, at the right time
- Manage the selection, implementation, and integration of sales tools and technologies (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, commission software, etc.)
- Ensure robust and reliable operations through high-quality and scalable systems design
- Implement sales process automation to eliminate manual work and improve sales productivity
- Enable effective reporting on sales performance by governing the production of sales data through the CRM (e.g., defining objects, fields, and definitions)
You Are
- An excellent people manager with a track record of having led high-performing teams
- A team player with the ability to quickly build trusted relationships with your team and cross functional partners
- A strong project manager with excellent time management skills
- Experienced at successfully managing analytically rigorous company initiatives
- A self-starter with great instincts and the ability to discern upcoming needs
- Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and solve problems with a solution-oriented mindset
- Passionate about learning and always seek opportunities to expand your knowledge
- 10+ years in a sales operations, business planning, or sales support management role
- 5+ years managing SMEs in a SAAS, B2B sales environment, having demonstrated success growing and scaling sales operations programs
- Strong understanding of CRM Systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales automation tools
- Proven track record of leading successful sales process improvement initiatives
- Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred
- Advanced Excel expertise with a background in using rigorous analytics to influence decisions and drive strategy
The BrainPOP team operates in a hybrid work environment: Each role has remote flexibility and an in-person component at our New York headquarters or other meeting locations. Based on the requirements of a specific role, we may prioritize hiring within a commutable distance of our New York headquarters or in another region relevant to that role.
