Job Summary:
At Sharecare, we're accelerating the cycle from research to care by building a next-generation platform for decentralized clinical research and real-world data collection, Smart Omix. Smart Omix enables a variety of research and healthcare stakeholders - from pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and digital innovation teams, to individual academic researchers and citizen scientists - to perform decentralized, mobile-based observational research at scale. The platform allows for rich data collection, provides seamless participant recruitment and engagement, and empowers researchers to deploy studies faster and more cost-effectively. As a platform, Smart Omix is AI-forward, featuring AI-driven methods for data collection, and allowing researchers to seamlessly use the data collected in clinical studies for the development of novel models and digital biomarkers. Our team is mission-driven, and seeks to accelerate the adoption of decentralized, mobile-based methods to make conducting and participating in cutting edge clinical research accessible to all.
The Smart Omix by Sharecare team is looking for a Sales Director to join our founding Sales team. You will report to the VP of Strategy and Operations. You will play a crucial role in the development of our Sales Playbook and culture. This role is designed for an ambitious, fast-thinking individual, keen to learn what it takes to build a business and a market from the ground up in a new and rapidly evolving market of decentralized clinical research. Our lean team is relentlessly focused on creating meaningful results with a goal of scaling operations, and looking for sales leads with ambition, drive and creativity.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone with an appetite for selling software or clinical research studies to mid-size company or enterprises. This role also favors those with an ability to quickly and thoroughly learn the tools of our Sales stack, who have previously been among the early hires of a sales organization.
This candidate should possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to improve the world around them through software.
Essential Functions:
* Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers across large organizations to actively pursue and close new deals.
* Develop a strong pipeline of pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, digital health, consumer health, academic institutions and other life sciences organizations.
* Iterate on the current sales team playbook and make it your own
* Understand the product team release roadmap, and integrate new features seamlessly into your workflow and pitches.
* Support and lead internal and external stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, feedback and present proposals.
* Maintain an organized and clean CRM.
* Support reporting -- gain a deep understanding of how to collate and present meaningful data in Hubspot.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* You have at least 3 yrs of relevant SaaS sales experience or experience selling in the life sciences industry, a bachelor's degree, and have a passion and experience in health tech or clinical research.
* You have interest in learning new technical tools, and are familiar with best-in-class Sales tools.
* You enjoy working in an evolving and fast-paced environment, and are comfortable with ambiguity.
* You see opportunities everywhere. Your ability to become deeply familiar with the product combined with your creativity will lay the path for new types of deals and verticals.
* You are an excellent writer and verbal communicator, and are comfortable writing enticing emails and building clean presentations and proposals.
* You are ambitious and looking to get on-the-ground experience in how a new product and business vertical is grown
* You are a self-starter when it comes to Sales. You are hungry for new and exciting challenges, and approach difficult problems with enthusiasm and creativity
* You are not afraid to ask questions or ask for help
* You are a collaborator, eager to help your colleagues and build a culture of teamwork in Sales.
