Job Description

The Director of Cox Mobile Go to Market Sales Strategy is accountable for translating Cox's wireless sales and retention strategy into operational plans that support all residential sales channels. This role interfaces with leadership across all sales channels to develop go to market plans that drive market share, mobile line sales growth and supporting sales programs and initiatives.
They will work directly with Marketing, Product, PMO, Devcies team and other channel teams to ensure revenue plans are met and a sound long-term strategy for wireless sales. This leader will also work in a highly matrixed environment and must be adept at influencing others indirectly to drive change and alignment to support Cox Mobile. They must be a hands-on, strategic leader and able to build our matrixed wireless sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operationalize and translate the Cox Mobile Go to Market Strategy from concept to execution across all channels; translate overall strategic roadmap into life
  • Focused on continuous improvement and support of our sales teams primarily focused on wireless target attainment, sales data trending / analytics, revenue contribution data, ARPU (Average Revenue per Unit) management, and wireless line activation growth.
  • Provides input and support for the overall sales channel plan for Cox Wireless
    • Sales GTM support for all Cox Mobile product enhancements and device launches (NPI) and promotions - which requires cross functional support to product, ICE, technology, marketing and devices team.
  • Cox Mobile Program Mgmt
    • Manage all programs to drive the Cox Mobile Strategy
    • Boundary partner support for Retail, COE, DSCC, Strategy, Sales Ops
    • Special projects / assignments
  • Recognized subject matter expert that represents Cox Mobile Sales to executive team, boundary partners, vendors, and industry; drives change and alignment in a matrixed environment
  • Support / create sales strategy requirements across customer mobile touchpoints to ensure an interactive and seamless shopping experience that aligns with customer journey map and agent experience
  • Operationalize plan and drive deployment to reinvent sales experience and create a Cox Mobile sales culture; influence sales leadership to integrate wireless into existing sales channel strategy
  • This role will work with each sales channel, including sales operations, reporting, sales performance, marketing and product teams to ensure smooth transitions and also the ability to meet all corresponding revenue plans.
  • Strategic translation to various levels of the organization (using PPT, Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Leading and translating Cox Mobile strategies (roadmaps, strategy updates, changes, etc.)
  • Recognized subject matter expert that represents Cox Mobile Sales to executive team, boundary partners, vendors, and industry; drives change and alignment in a matrixed environment
  • Define processes across customer touchpoints to ensure an interactive and seamless shopping experience that aligns with customer journey map
  • Operationalize plan and drive deployment to reinvent sales experience and create a culture of 'everyone-sells-everything' (no dedicated mobile sales queue); influence sales leadership to integrate wireless into existing sales channel strategy
  • Develops metrics and corresponding analysis to ensure health of wireless performance; conducts analyses and translates results into business recommendations to ensure success of Cox Mobile
  • Develops processes to support policies for Cox Mobile Sales and mitigate sales fraud. Define Sales Work Order Guidelines to ensure proper credit of sales. Defines processes to prevent fraud (e.g. customer identification, multifactor id, device shipment, etc.).

Qualifications
Required
  • 10+ years of wireless / mobile sales experience ( recent and relevant within past 5 years ) (MS+8 years, Ph.D. + 5 years or 14 years with no formal degree)
  • At least 5 years experience in a leadership role

Characteristics
  • Strong negotiation skills and presentation ability
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated track record of a achieving team plan/team quota
  • Data analysis and PC skills required; experience with MS Office products required.
  • Ability to create PPT slides and present in front of various levels of leadership teams
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and analyze strategic issues
  • Demonstrate ability to influence decisions in areas outside of direct control through collaboration and teamwork.
  • Highly developed ability to manage multiple projects and balance priorities in a fast-paced competitive market environment
  • Strong leadership and coaching skill set
