WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This is a highly visible role with the ability to make material contributions and impact to the success of the Nike Search program. The Director of Search is accountable to build the Global Product Strategy & Roadmap for Search Marketing, integrate product solutions, and build a solid partnership with Google, Apple and Microsoft. In this role there will be the potential to increase efficiencies in our program and address a wide variety of topics including the incrementality between Paid and Organic search, Audiences Integration, Value based bidding and App Marketing.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about search marketing, with experience in partnership management and deep platform expertise. You will act as a functional expert on the future of search marketing.
The Director is part of the Global Search team and will orchestrate work across analytics, engineering and data science teams whilst maintaining positive relationships with our search-engine partners. A factor of success will rely on the ability to establish strong collaboration with the Search experts across the organization. The Director of Search will partner closely with Nike Search teams in EMEA, NA and APLA.
The ideal candidate will bring a best-in-class expertise in Search Marketing, in particular in the field of Feeds, Testing, Bidding, Ranking factors and Audiences. An advanced understanding of SEO, AdTech and Privacy is also required to collaborate successfully with various teams at Nike.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the Global Product Strategy for Search marketing pillars: O2O, feeds, SA360, audience building, app campaigns, creatives, value base bidding, etc.
- Innovate with our advertising partners to set joint product and technology priorities that keep Nike on the forefront of the marketplace.
- Act as an expert on the latest product innovations, tools and relevant betas across Shopping, Text ads, App Stores and O2O.
- Collaborate with GEOs, Google, and Capabilities teams to improve Search products and build business cases which can lead to new AdTech solution, improved tooling, or enhanced product integrations.
- Improve the integration of first party data into the Search Program using our Analytics and CDP technology.
- Be a catalyst for media, measurement and search insights globally for Nike.
As part of the Global Media Team, you'll collaborate with both global as well as geography teams inclusive of business and marketing leadership, geo Media teams, Media Agencies, Marketing Sciences, Finance, Technology, Product Management, Engineering and multiple third party vendors.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Marketing, Computer Science, Econometrics or related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- 6-10 years of digital marketing experience, with substantial experience in Search, Paid and/or Organic and a strong understanding of digital marketing in an e-commerce setting.
- At least 3 years of management experience, proven experience mentoring and managing a team, preferably in a multi-cultural environment.
- Experience managing paid search campaigns for international accounts
- A detailed understanding of Search Marketing platforms from emerging products to user trends to standard methodologies in optimizations
- Data driven decision making
- Understanding off current privacy and brand safety landscape with search lens
- Strategic understanding of search integration across online to offline journey
- Experience in partner management
- Comfortable making recommendations across competing and equally critical business needs
- Growth Mindset / learning agility
