Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for a Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to join the team. This position's primary role will be to oversee the Company's SEC reporting process and to conduct research on various technical accounting matters that could impact the Company's financial statements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee external SEC financial reporting and filing process, including drafting of financial statements, preparing consolidated cash flow statements, equity rollforward, EPS calculation, footnotes and MD&A, investor presentations, completing SEC and GAAP checklists and reviewing XBRL tagging.• Manage accounting for stock-based compensation for compliance with ASC 718, including valuation and stock-based compensation expenses journal entries.• Review new accounting pronouncements, evaluate applicability to the Company and manage the implementation and training.• Provide technical accounting guidance on ongoing matters and draft technical memos to support conclusions reached.• Liaison with general accounting to ensure non-routine transactions are booked into the appropriate general ledger accounts, legal entities and functions.• Provide requisite schedules/reports for quarterly reviews/annual audits with external auditors and for press releases relating to quarterly and annual earnings.• Assist in quarterly reviews/annual audit with external and internal auditors.• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business related fields. CPA required.• Candidate must have direct experience with SEC reporting (Regulation S-X and S-K) and preparation of financial statements and footnotes of public companies.• 12+ years' experience in a Big 4 accounting firm with experience on a publicly traded technology client preferred; 12+ years' experience in technical accounting at a public company within the high-technology industry a plus.• Strong work ethic with good judgment, initiative and excellent attention to detail.• Ability to research and interpret accounting guidance and draft accounting memos to support conclusions.• Strong US GAAP acumen and understanding of financial reporting (SEC, 10-K, 10-Q).• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills and the ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and bring projects to completion.• The ability to sustain productivity in a fast-paced environment, maintain composure and focus under pressure and deadline.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power-point required.

Salary Range: $181,000 - $228,000
