Job Summary
Serve as the Security Leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting multiple facilities in all areas of Industrial Security (Personnel Security/Information Security/Communications Security/Physical Security).
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the Security Leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting multiple facilities in all areas of Security (Personnel Security/Information Security/Communications Security/Physical Security) supporting the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and DRS Proxy Agreement
- Oversee site-level compliance with government and company security policies, procedures and directives
- Provide professional security training and mentorship to Security Managers to ensure competence and required skill sets are available at each facility
- Serve as principle advisor to executive management and Corporate Vice President, Security on all industrial and physical security-related matters
- Disseminate information relative to NISP, Corporate or Group Policy requirements
- Ensure executive leadership team is kept apprised of key Corporate and Site security issues which have the potential to impact business operations
- Oversee each locations support of the DRS Peer Review Program, either directly or through group FSO participation, as required by the Corporate Security Program
- Review site's periodic self-inspections on local processes and practices to ensure NISP and Proxy Agreement compliance; provide guidance to maintain compliance; and accurately report security posture to site, group and corporate leadership
- Through site visits and FSSR reporting, ensure leadership and corporate security are aware of all security risk points and corrective action plans
- Coordinate on all site-specific procedures and serve as the organization's leading security professional on all matters related to physical and industrial security
- Ensure all Security Managers are adequately trained in accordance with industry standards and DRS policies and procedures
- Conduct investigations and approve site-level Reports of Investigations (ROI) on NISP, Proxy Agreement and other security investigations; ensure timely submission of ROIs to executive leadership, corporate security and external government customers
- Maintain proficiency and professional certification in physical, NISP and FOCI security policies and practices
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Lead security presentations on trends and practices during monthly DRS FSO Discussion Groups and the DRS Annual Security Conference
- Provide timely responses to all corporate Security data calls
- Strong experience with Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and other government agencies requirements
- Advise executive management and Site leadership on manpower requirements to support physical and industrial security requirements
- Travel as necessary to company sites to deliver company-level training, assessments and/or mentoring opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, with master's degree preferred
- Demonstrated expertise of NISP and FOCI standards, and other Security laws and regulations
- Outstanding oral and written communications skills
- Must be eligible to garner and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Must have superior multitasking, organization and time management skills
- Previous management and supervisory experience required
