The Altos Institute of Medicine will capture knowledge generated about cell health and programming and develop transformative medicines. We are seeking a highly experienced biotech/pharma drug developer and biotechnology leader. The successful candidate is a demonstrated strategic thinker who is collaborative and drives innovation to develop new medicines.
As a member of the Institute of Medicine, and in partnership with the Global Head of Development Sciences, you will play a key role in developing and implementing the overall strategy for Development Sciences.
- Envisions and leads interactions with scientists in the three Altos Science Institutes as new concepts are considered for translation.
- Partner with the Global Head of Development Sciences on aspects of drug discovery and optimization as applicable
- Contribute to an innovative scientific environment that combines creativity and collaboration, together with excellence in execution
- Seek, develop, and maintain external partnerships that add value, create flexibility, access expertise, and drive enhanced returns for Altos
- Partner across Altos to develop and implement scientific strategies and achieve project-specific goals for investigational therapeutics in preclinical and all phases of clinical development
- Contribute to promoting a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, professional growth, and inclusion
Qualifications:
- MD/Ph.D. degree and at least 7+ years of experience in drug discovery
- Proven capability to lead, motivate and inspire in a diverse, global, cross-functional structure and commit to diversity, equity, and belonging.
- A critical thinker with the ability to analyze possibilities and solutions and make pragmatic trade-offs, as well as a big-picture innovator who can identify opportunities and is comfortable with ambiguity
- Clear and influential communicator.
- Exceptional influencing skills that demonstrate strong thought partnership and create effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to build and connect strong teams and build community across Altos
The salary for the Director level is: $275,400 - $372,600
The salary for the Senior Director level is: $339,150 - $458,850
