The Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions division is committed to improving the lives of patients by applying more than 40 years of experience and expertise in nuclear and precision health. The business provides radiopharmaceutical development, manufacturing, preparation, market access, and business solutions across the care delivery continuum from origin to patient administration. As the only national source for both SPECT and PET radiopharmaceuticals with the largest network of 130 pharmacies and 30 cyclotron facilities, we can reach 95% of U.S. hospitals within three hours. We give customers the support they need in regulatory compliance, reimbursement, continuing education, information management and other crucial areas, so they can focus on their patients.

What this position contributes to Cardinal Health:

The Services Marketing Director is responsible for lifecycle management of the services portfolio, including commercial technologies, continuing education, safety and compliance, and Health Physics Services. Key responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies; evaluating product/service performance and making recommendations to drive revenue and OE; managing commercialization activities such as positioning, promotion and sales enablement; executing market research to inform strategy; and managing and developing direct report(s).

This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops Marketing strategy for portfolio of products and/or services under direction, including annual and multi-year goals and plans for product differentiation, promotions, launches, and phase-outs. Ensures alignment to business unit commercial strategy and among functional leaders.
  • Lead direct report(s), delegating projects and ensuring that product management and marketing work is aligned to key objectives, strategies, and timelines. Provides guidance on complex issues, evaluates individual performance, and drives high performance.
  • Designs and oversees marketing campaigns and new product launch plans, including positioning, marketing mix, and promotions. Evaluates the performance of campaigns and ensures that Sales and other functions receive necessary trainings regarding new products.
  • Analyzes market research, trends, projections and innovations to formulate concepts for new products and services. Collaborates with Research & Development and Business Development teams to integrate commercial, customer, and technical perspectives and to build business cases for new concepts.
  • Manages relationships with key vendors that assist in upstream market research and downstream execution of marketing campaigns. Coordinates with Manufacturing in relationships with suppliers, as it relates to product specifications and customer requirements.
  • In coordinating with Finance partners, manages the budget for the Marketing organization, allocates financial resources to different projects, and tracks actual versus expected expenses.
  • Implements people management initiatives within managed team and participates in regular people management activities, including performance reviews, recruiting, and talent management.
  • Provides market and customer research and ensures that relevant customer information or feedback is relayed to Sales leaders and included in CRM systems.
  • Develops responses to RFPs and bids on external commercialization opportunities, coordinating with R&D and other functions to validate and describe technical capabilities.
  • Participates in industry conferences, trade associations, and other industry events in order to promote Cardinal Health's products and services and to stay abreast of market developments.
  • Analyzes market trends, channels and operating environments in various geographies to develop strategies for optimizing product portfolios, and directs internal workflows to manage product life-cycles.
  • Assesses performance, margins and success of specific products, and makes determinations of which products to discontinue, replace, or focus on, in conjunction with senior leadership to control costs and increase profitability.
  • Manages pipeline of new product development and participates in research in coordination with research and development teams, and ensures products are being developed correctly to meet the needs of Cardinal's customers.
  • Coordinates with sales and marketing teams to grow solutions and assist in development and execution of plans for lowering costs, increasing efficiency and driving profitable growth to support strategic business objectives.
  • Executes plans for innovating and driving market penetration of the product portfolio through coordination among cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across all parties.
  • Examines and assesses competitor strategies, and develops go-to-market and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
  • Manages a team of professionals and participates in processes for hiring, onboarding, and performance management, including leadership of competency evaluations process and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing brand/product/service management preferred
  • 3-5 years people management experience preferred
  • BA or BS or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strategic marketing background (lifecycle management product launch, market opportunity sizing, 4 Ps)
  • Excellent project management of large complex projects
  • Strong, collaborative leadership skills and experience working in a "matrixed" environment
  • Ability to influence while developing and maintaining positive relationships
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Polished presentation skills
  • Agency management experience
  • Experience managing market research projects

Anticipated salary range: $126,100.00- $194,000.00
