Director, Social Media
Job Description
Today, everything that we do is social and when your brand is built on community, you need to be everywhere and always on. MoneyLion is looking for a Director, Social Media to help build its social media channels; those that exist today, and the new ones we’ll want to build on for tomorrow. You’ll be responsible for tapping into our creator community of influencers and ambassadors, activating our sponsorships across sports and entertainment, and building a voice that adds true value to our followers.
You’ll be managing a team of community managers, implementing strategy from the marketing organization, researching and staying on-trend, creating metrics and managing analytics, leveraging key insights and data for content creation, and creating roadmaps and content plans while staying nimble so we can participate in real-time culture and conversation.Â
You must think and act like a publisher. We live in an Omni channel world and you should have experience growing YouTube channels, growth hacking TikTok, and injecting brands into realtime culture and conversation through Newsjacking tactics. You live in a social first world and understand the power of creativity vs production quality. This is a unique opportunity to deliver a strategy for a brand that will own the culture of money. And everyone needs money!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of community managers and creators to develop social-first executions across all social channels from YouTube and Twitter to IG and TikTok.
- Create actionable plans to grow the audience and set KPI’s for each channel manager while monitoring and activating real-time conversations.
- Work cross-departmentally to ensure social plays a cohesive role in new product launches and brand campaigns.
- Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone and voice.
- Weekly reporting to management on impact to the business from social channels.
About You
- 8+ years of experience running social media, digital or content strategy across multiple platforms, either agency or brand sideÂ
- Have a strong pulse on entertainment, media, and music cultural moments as well as the foresight for upcoming trends
- Expertise in running paid influencer programs and brand ambassador social campaigns
- Deep knowledge of all aspects of social marketing, listening tools, analytics platforms, as well as the latest trends.
- Established media relationships with key financial, technology, and business journalists
- Experience running an always-on content creation team of in-house creators and influencers. Deep understanding of how social channels and customer service interact for a DTC brand.
- A clear understanding of customer storytelling and strategic thinking around leveraging a social community to become advocates and ambassadors themselves.
- Willingness to take risks and test and learn.
- Must be a people person and like to have fun. C’mon, it's social!
