Director, Software Quality Assurance - Mobile Application

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This position will lead the Software Quality Assurance team for our Mobile Applications team (iOS, Android, Members Web, Roku / TV Apps, and Watches) as well as our Corporate Wellness platform with the goals of increasing test automation, expanding our quality and observability reach. Critically this role is in place to ensure successful implementation, operation, and scalability of our hybrid Local Lead/Offshore quality model.. 

The team consists of 55 SWQA/SDET resources which includes a mix of Full time employees and onshore/offshore contractors. 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON 

• Partner with Client Application development teams to drive quality assurance upstream to design document reviews, Pull Requests reviews, CI/CD, and analysis tools.
• Work with our Member Experience Teams, Social teams, and internal team to extract Customer Reviews and turn them into improvement initiatives 
• Develop comprehensive quality dashboards that speak to quality at every stage of the development cycle from PRD through to post release 
• Drive adoption of our Local Lead / Offshore QA model throughout the App development team. Uplevel our local talent and work with the team to adapt working practices as needed.
• Be the directly responsible individual for our main SWQA vendor, traveling every 1-2 quarters to build a sustainable relationship and increase our efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage the team, and it’s members through the full employee lifecycle
• Ensure delivery against QA department goals and objectives 
• Study trends in and developments in quality management 
• Continually improve internal quality practices 
• Drive cross functional quality initiatives within the App team, and across the company
• Manage the QA budget within the App team 
• Regularly communicate with colleagues and executives about initiatives in the SW QA space 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON 

• Education and/or equivalent work experience in computer science, engineering or related field
• 15+ years of experience in software QA 
• 8+ years of experience in software QA management 
• Demonstrably successful experience directly managing an offshore vendor relationship
• Leadership of QA teams >50 people 
• Excellent communication skills, and an ability to summarize complex technical issues
• Experience delivering high quality dashboards from development through post-release
• Hands on experience with tools such as JIRA / Github / Gitlabs / Sonarqube / Amplitude / Data.ai / App store / Play store

Base Salary: $218,600.00 to $284,200.00

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
