Position Description
The Director PV Technology position, reporting to the Vice President Engineering and Strategy Planning whose primary responsibility will be oversight of technology & equipment assessment, evaluation, and selection for grid-scale solar and energy storage projects. The responsibility includes the technical evaluation of solar equipment and the implementation of QA/QC programs for PV modules. This individual will be leading the technology team for our growing solar and storage portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical and procurement teams to efficiently model and assess equipment optionality
- Perform technical due diligence on PPA documentation and M&A activities to support contract negotiation
- Implement QA/QC programs for the PV modules and the vendors manufacturing processes
- Optimize selection of modules, inverters, and related equipment for projects
- Serve as a technical guide and provide strategy for development and design of all systems
- Review vendor technical deliverables to ensure technical project needs are met
- Work with vendors to optimize engineering & procurement strategy, pricing, schedule, design, and value engineering for PV projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in solar energy modeling, optimization or technology evaluation and selection
- Experience in implementing QA/QC program of PV modeules
