Pay Range: $150,000 - $200,000 + Commission

The industry is in continuous evolvement and our customers' need for modern solutions to gain valuable market share is equally evolving. We have a robust support model for these large organizations and an integral piece to this team is a technical director.
A successful leader in this role will assist both customers and Vertafore employees with solving challenges and meeting goals. This role will be expected to dig deep to understand any given situation from all levels of the organization, devise the best solution and communicate to executives on the best approach. Internally, this role will work closely with the Account Director and other departments to align resources and drive solutions. Success in this role will be determined by the customer's satisfaction and success in fully utilizing Vertafore's technology to achieve their business goals.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
  • Primary technology consultant to Vertafore's largest customers.
  • Close collaboration at all levels of the organization.
  • Drive discovery to understand our customer's business challenges and consult on how Vertafore and our partner technologies can support focused efforts.
  • Coach and develop a team of Solution Consultants, including how to perform effective discovery and qualification, selling business value, and managing projects.
  • Drive solutions for our customer's technological challenges.
  • Lead a team of Solution Consultants, focused on large and enterprise level accounts, who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation, and education experts.
  • Communicates and documents possible solutions to stakeholders and is an internal resource to achieve success.
  • Provide customers with overall technical visions for a particular solution and recommends solutions for more effective systems that best meet the purpose of the customer's business.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience managing customer-focused organizations.
  • Experience working in InsurTech, Insurance or related industries.
  • Previous blend of experience in sales, business development, and services delivery is highly desirable.
  • Ability to cultivate individual growth that aligns with corporate, team and personal goals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding customer requirements and proposing solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, with the ability to persuasively articulate business value to customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong skills in critical thinking, influencing, and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Make recommendations to customers that align business needs with technology solutions and services.

Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience managing a team in pre-sales or customer success.
  • Technical degree desired
  • InsureTech/Insurance industry knowledge greatly desired
  • Sales experience desired with knowledge of sales processes
  • Knowledge of Vertafore Solutions desired.
  • Demonstrated strategic solution development and management.

Additional Requirements and Details:
  • Travel required up to 50% of the time.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements are required to operate a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
  • Frequent sitting and/or standing.

The Professional Services (PS) and Customer Success (CX) bonus plans are a quarterly monetary bonus plan based upon individual and practice performance against specific business metrics. Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.
The Vertafore Incentive Plan (VIP) is an annual monetary bonus for eligible employees based on both individual and company performance. Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.
Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBO's and ABPMs. Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
