Job Description

As the Director, Solutions Engineering, you will lead a solutions engineering team focused on our Analytics and Write-back solutions for PowerBI and Qlik. Our Solutions Engineering team manages key customer interactions and drives the development and implementation of strategies for showcasing our solutions. Your expertise in understanding customer needs and aligning them with our products and services will be instrumental in achieving revenue targets and fostering long-lasting relationships with clients. This is a remote position reporting into the VP, Solutions Engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the solutions engineering team, fostering a high-performance culture and motivating team members to achieve individual and team objectives.
• Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop effective strategies for showcasing our solutions that align with the overall business objectives.
• Customer Engagement: Lead the team in engaging with potential clients, understanding their needs, and effectively presenting our solutions to address their specific requirements.
• Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team, supporting them in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and providing technical expertise during the sales process.
• Solution Design: Oversee the creation of tailored solutions and proposals that showcase the value of our products and services to potential clients.
• Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor analysis, and industry best practices to continuously improve our solutions engineering approach.
• Team Development: Coach, train, and mentor the solutions engineering team members, identifying areas for improvement and providing opportunities for professional growth.
• Collaboration: Foster collaboration between the solutions engineering team and other departments, ensuring seamless communication and knowledge sharing.
• Run Presales as a Business. Build processes and develop strategies to measure the performance and impact of the SE team and ensure that the team is optimized to meet rapidly evolving business needs
• Strategic Development and Execution Maintain a deep understanding of insightsoftware's strategic objectives and the role your team plays in meeting those objectives. Develop and execute strategies to ensure that the team understands insightsoftware's strategic objectives, and remains in sync with them.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a solutions engineering leadership role.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
• 3+ years experience with PowerBI and/or Qlik
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Deep understanding of the office of the CFO, including market trends, customer pain points, and competitive landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically to achieve business objectives.

Preferred qualifications

• Solid technical understanding of web application development, database technologies, and multiple self-service BI tools
• Experience with databases such as Mongo, Redshift, MySQL, Oracle, Snowflake
