Position Summary: The Director, Strategic Pricing plays a critical role in Leaf Home's revenue and profitability by developing and implementing effective expansion strategies and pricing models that balance customer value with business goals. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze large data sets and provide recommendations for business improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct competitor analysis, custom market research, and industry research to identify market opportunities for new and existing locations.
  • Lead expansion strategy for new locations with deliverables of optimal locations, staffing, and marketing investment.
  • Lead the development, analysis, and communication to executive leadership of pricing strategies for products and services offered by the organization. This involves analyzing pricing trends, customer behavior, and market competition to determine the optimal pricing strategy.
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze data related to pricing, new locations, and staffing, including customer purchase behavior, market trends, and competitive comparable information.
  • Responsible for creating pricing models that can be used to determine optimal pricing for various products and services in all company locations to maximize revenue and profit.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence reports and present to executive leadership on KPIs related to pricing, workforce, and new locations.
  • Regularly leverage market insights to apply knowledge to business strategies, ability to adjust strategies to changing market dynamics.
  • Analyze supplier pricing and volume for better rates and guarantees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience in pricing strategy, pricing analytics, and go-to market product pricing.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as SQL and Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without "dropping the ball."
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a "roll up your sleeves" and "win every day" mentality.
  • Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
  • Detail-oriented and can focus on task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
  • Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
  • Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
  • Master's degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field.

Travel Requirements:
  • 10%-25% domestic travel required.

Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:
  • Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).

Physical Requirements:
  • Normal office environment.
  • Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
