As the Director of Strategic Sourcing you will transform and manage global supply chain and its overall performance in regards to New Product Development (NPD). As the leader of NPD Sourcing, the needs of customer and internal stakeholders will be key to driving value and executing programs while ensuring optimal cost in alignment with commodity strategies into the NPD process. Strong leadership and strategic understanding of the global supply chains, product engineering, and product teams across the Toro Company will support delivery of innovative programs to our customers.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

• Lead the NPD Sourcing organization in delivering new projects on-time, on-budget, and aligned with the commodity strategies.
• Provide leadership and strategic insights into the broader supply chain function, product engineering, and teams across the Toro enterprise.
• Achieve annual performance goals associated with new product execution.
• Represent Sourcing as authority and signatory in gate reviews and as delegated authority by Sr, Managing Director of Sourcing.
• Drive governance and overall adherence of deliverables as required in the Toro Development Process (1PDS).
• Drive continuous improvement efforts across Sourcing organization to aid in cost, quality, and delivery goals as well as overall risk mitigation of supply.
• Effectively manage the operating expenses of the department in alignment with annual budgets.
• Establish, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with division business managers to ensure alignment of long-term product plans and commodity sourcing strategies.
• Promote strong partnerships with cross-functional partners in supplier quality, engineering, product management, operations, suppliers, and commodity sourcing teams.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Manufacturing, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
• Ten (10) or more years' of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing or relevant supply chain roles with a total of 15+ years' relevant business experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills to help drive year over year performance, develop and foster talent as well as manage a diverse team of sourcing professionals
• Strong knowledge and understanding of cross-functional stage gate process
• Strong project management, negotiation and influencing skills
