About the Role:Â
OLAPLEX is seeking a passionate, driven, and collaborative Director to join our Strategy, Analytics & Insights (SA&I) team. Reporting to the SVP, SA&I and in close partnership with cross-functional (Marketing, Operations, Sales, etc.) and external partners, the Director will lead insights and analytics and help drive strategic initiatives and other top priority projects to grow our business and better serve the consumers and stylists who love us.Â
He/she/they will be fully independent and able to design and run workstreams (in collaboration with the SVP); an excellent communicator (writing and presenting); and able to drive multiple high-profile projects (managing both internal and external resources).Â
The Director will work with and guide two direct reports on the SA&I team in answering critical questions around the beauty market, Olaplexâs business, and our customers around the globe. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced, fun team in an exciting, high growth environment. Â
- Own strategic projects, both with guidance of the SVP and independently, from end to end, including identifying the problem to be solved, driving conceptual problem-solving, creating project plans, and engaging resources to against them
- Lead strategic problem solving as an engaged member of the SA&I Team and key cross-functional thought partner on a range of different types of strategic projects
- Work with and manage both the Manager and the Associate, SA&I, as well as external partners, in developing, conducting, and communicating analyses to answer business questions around how we grow and constantly improve our business, both with guidance of the SVP and independently
- Independently own end-to-end creation of presentations (e.g., PowerPoint), i.e., from storyline through final edits, including supporting execution of Board-level presentations
- Design, analyze and synthesize a range of insights (financial, market data, consumer research, etc.) and create persuasive communications to present findings and recommendations to broad audiences, including senior level executivesÂ
- In close collaboration with SVP, design and run quantitative and qualitative research on consumers and stylists in USA and internationally (e.g., surveys, focus groups)
- Conduct and communicate beauty market research on innovation opportunities, international market expansion, and consumer, stylist and retailer strategy, synthesizing various data sources (market research, 3rd party data, internal data, surveys) in furtherance of strategic initiatives
- Work cross-functionally to be proactive in supporting business needs and designing and delivering research, including leading problem solving to identify data needs
- Liaise with 3rd party providers and provide recommendations to the SVP about potential vendor partners
- Collaborate with senior OLAPLEX leadership, cross-functional partners, Advent International Partners, external partners, and other SA&I team members to deliver necessary insights
About You: Â
- 7+ years of work experience (~2-4 years in managerial roles) in strategy roles, including experience independently leading customer insights, customer analytics, market research, data analytics
- Top strategy consulting firm background preferred, as senior project manager (or equivalent role)
- Excellent communicator, both oral and written
- Excellent analytical skills, with ability to guide complex data analyses and translate them into actionable insights
- Deep understanding of key consumer brand and customer metrics, including ecommerce and digital marketing metrics and analyses
- Experience leading end-to-end (design to analysis and communication) quantitative and qualitative consumer insights (surveys, focus groups, etc.)
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Balanced ego as well as a collaborative and partnership-minded working style; the SA&I team environment is fast-paced, demanding and caring and funPrior experience in consumer industry required, with passion for beauty a must!
- MBA or equivalent experience / advanced graduate degree required
- Bilingual candidates a plus

Our Total Rewards:Â
The annual base pay for this position is  $167,850 - $195,825 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
