About The Role
The Director of Talent Development will work with the Vice President of Talent Development to Design, Develop and Execute Leadership Development Programs and Initiatives for some Mid and all Senior Level Leaders at Danaher. In addition, this position will be responsible for helping set an overall leadership development strategy for Danaher. This position will utilize instructional design, performance improvement and adult learning principles to analyze, design, develop and evaluate customized leadership courses and programs as well as maintain and update existing leadership curricula.
The Director ensures that all program design activities support the Danaher and DBSO strategic direction and positively impacts all participating leaders' performance. He/she will work in partnership with the VP of Talent Development and DBSO to create synergies across leadership at Danaher.
Your Responsibilities
- Integrates leadership learning in all areas of DBSU (Lean, Growth & Leadership) and serves Danaher by working productively with the broader Danaher community including all functional areas.
- Designs, develops and evaluates leadership solutions for multiple delivery methods including and importantly instructor-led, as well as web-based, performance coaching, virtual classroom and blended instruction for specific content areas.
- Works with DHR leadership team in the development of faculty and delivery of all programs and courses offered.
- Responsible for planning, executing and using effective project management tools and methods.
- Works with the HR & Business leaders across Danaher Corporate, DBSO, Platforms and a variety of Operating Companies (OpCos) to analyze leadership needs.
- Facilitates and drives design committees with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify target population skill gaps, designs learning solutions, builds and developmentally tests programs.
- Establishes operational policies/procedures and evaluation criteria for leadership programs and initiatives at Danaher as well as reviews program progress to ensure that objectives are met; share analytic reports for comprehensive evaluation.
- Administer, forecast, manage and prepare the annual budget needs for leadership initiatives.
- Remain current with developments in Leadership & Learning advancements and update colleagues on these developments through workshops and one-on-one training.
Your Experience
- Minimum 7-10 years of Leadership Development, including senior levels.
- Experience implementing distance-learning initiatives and creating a strategic vision for integrating pragmatic learning experiences that produce outcomes.
- Strong level of professionalism and credibility; able to effectively challenge and influence business clients/customers.
- Ability to manage across the organization and to influence others.
Your Attributes
- Knowledgeable in Leadership Development Practice as well as Learning Theory and Methods with an understanding of the theories and associated methodologies related to adult learning and development that have been established and tested by industry research.
- Learning measures and metrics focused; understands the objective, quantitative processes and metrics commonly used in the industry to evaluate learning objectives.
- Needs to be a thought leader, a strategic thinker and a subject matter expert.
- Organization Development/Organization Effectiveness Consulting is highly desirable.
- Strong strategic planning and management capabilities.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree is required. An M Ed/S in Organizational Leadership, Education, Communication, Organizational Design, or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on adult learning is preferred.
The salary range for this role is 130,000 to 160,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
