About the RoleVidyard is looking for a Director, Talent Development to join our Talent team. Reporting to the Vice President, People, Culture, and Organization, you will be a key leader responsible for development and delivery of people programming within a high-growth, digital-first organization. Leading the Talent Development for the organization, you will act as an advisor and support areas in talent development including, but not limited to, learning & development, leadership development, performance enablement, succession planning, organizational design, and change management.
About the Team
Our Talent Operations Team consists of Business Partners and Operations Specialists who work collaboratively with our business leaders to provide programs, processes and practices to support our employees. The Talent Operations team is passionate about providing a positive employee experience, allowing our Vidyardians to accomplish meaningful work in a digital-first environment.
What You’ll Work On- Design a strategic roadmap for Talent Development at Vidyard; including program creation and delivery of talent programs in Onboarding, Learning, and Talent Management
- Lead and execute our talent planning framework to develop and deploy internal talent, integrated business and workforce succession plans to ensure we are positioned to meet current and future organizational needs.
- Partner with Senior Business leaders/HRBPs/Talent Operations to continuously understand their evolving needs and expectations and identify opportunities to create and implement talent solutions such as career development, succession planning, talent reviews, talent assessments, etc.
- Leverage data to provide insights that help identify skill and talent gaps, retention challenges, and training needs.
- Ensure that organization-wide talent management and PM initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.Â
- Develop, implement, and oversee the administration of career exploration and internal career mobility framework.Â
- Define and track program metrics and assess program effectiveness that link learning solutions and investment in people to business impact.
- Leverage and optimize platforms to run effective performance management, goal creation and tracking, succession planning, and learning and development programs
- Support business-led transformation initiatives (e.g. M&A) by implementing and demonstrating talent practices (e.g., talent assessment, competencies development, organization design, and effectiveness, etc.).
- Evaluate and refine existing processes and experiences while leveraging technology to improve results and create better experiences for employees.Â
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders to enhance their effectiveness.
- Drive proactive conversations with leaders and act as a champion of Vidyard’s objectives & key results (OKR) goal-setting framework.
- Consistently look for ways to improve the overall employee experience across the organization.
- Relevant experience in a talent development leadership role, preferably in a high-growth, digital-first organization.
- Experience working directly with leaders to drive business results and achieve objectives
- Demonstrated experience in several the functional areas of talent development: learning & development, performance management, change management and strategic planning.
- Experience leading the development of large-scale projects that have impact across an organization.
- An empathetic and people-first approach with a well-developed ability to act as a mentor/coach.
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with business leaders on highly impactful and strategic people programs.
- Experience coaching at the senior leadership level would be an asset in this role.
