Overview
The Director of Talent Development Strategy & Innovation partners with senior Enterprise and HR Centers of Excellence to understand the business strategy and build an innovative, best-in-class talent development (TD) strategy and roadmap for SGWS. The Director formulates and drives alignment to strategic direction and oversees the design, development, user experience, implementation, and ongoing management of TD programs. Lead TD Program Managers and fosters strong relationships with internal and external partners. Facilitates and builds a culture of trust, respect, innovation, and data-driven decision making.
Primary Responsibilities
• Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.• Demonstrates knowledge of financial, business and project management principles involved in strategic planning, employee & financial resource allocation; possesses analytical and data literacy skills, including the ability to draw general conclusions from data and communicate analytical findings to others• Possesses advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, software applications, HR technology, and learning management systems (LMS) capabilities/functionalities; ability to embed innovative solutions within learning modules and effectively maintain the quality of learning platforms• Demonstrates knowledge and application of instructional design principles and methods for curriculum and training design, implementing TD processes and programs, adult learning theory, and measurement of training effectiveness and ROI• Demonstrates effective leadership skills and capabilities to build and maintain dynamic, remote teams, including motivating, developing, coaching, monitoring performance of, and directing employees; directly addresses conflicts and problems and holds others accountable• Demonstrates ability to communicate information to all relevant stakeholders and business functions within the appropriate time frame and setting; cascades information throughout all levels of the organization effectively• Demonstrates integrity by being honest and consistently adhering to the moral and ethical standards set by Southern Glazer's values, policies, and procedures; maintains discretion when working with sensitive/confidential subject matter such as employee data• Committed to professionalism (i.e., professional greetings, proper telephone etiquette, common courtesy, professional attitude, appearance), demonstrates composure and objectivity even in high-stress situations or when receiving constructive feedback• Ability to formulate, deliver, and implement a strategic vision that considers a long-term perspective and anticipation of the future state of TD and SGWS• Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications • A strong understanding of the application of automation and analytical tools (e.g., dashboards, surveys, assessments)• Strong change management skills, including implementation of initiatives, aligning perspectives, and implementing change• Makes concerted effort to serve as an advocate for diversity and inclusion, is sensitive to and respectful of varying cultural values and norms; is open, flexible, and patient when dealing with new and diverse perspectives and elevates diverse perspectives to benefit the organization

Physical Demands
• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine• Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
