What You’ll Do:
The Director, Technical Accounting will be primarily responsible for ad-hoc technical accounting issues, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial results and compliance of reported results with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”). Duties will include leading the assessment of technical accounting matters, preparing details technical accounting memos and analysis, implementation of new accounting pronouncements, detailed planning and assessment of impacts of accounting changes, assist with external financial statement filings, provide oversight and review of technical accounting matters to ensure contributors follow policies and processes, develop, communicate and implement accounting policies, lead and coordinate with eternal auditors to ensure a positive working relationship and an efficient and timely performance of quarterly and annual audit procedures, develop controls, policies and forms to ensure proper review and accounting conclusions pertaining to lease accounting, provide oversight and feedback pertaining to annual, quarterly, and SOX audit procedures and helping drive the corporate close and reporting calendar. Must have strong technical background as well as an extremely hands-on self-starter who is able to work independently and effectively across multiple functions.
- Lead the analysis of and conclusion on technical accounting matters, including but not limited to:
- acquisitions
- consolidation
- share-based compensation
- leases
- revenue recognition
- inventory management
- Perform technical accounting and accounting rules and regulation research to make recommendations regarding company policy, as well as to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC guidelines.
- Provide review and feedback to ensure issuance of timely, accurate and complete financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Direct successful implementation of new accounting guidance and requirements
- Develop, maintain, and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes.
- Provide strong central oversight of Company’s SOX compliance to guarantee consistency and quality in compliance work across all functions and geographies.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual review and audit procedures and serve as the primary liaison with external audit firms and external consultants.
- Recruit, train, develop and retain a highly skilled team.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as requested.
- Travel Requirements: 20%

Who You Are:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA Required
- Minimum 7 years’ of progressively responsible experience in large public company, a division of a large public company and/or public accounting firms
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Results oriented, driven, hands-on leader
- Experience with managing and working with auditors and external consultants
- Strong and up-to-date technical accounting skills, including extensive knowledge of acquisitions and impairment review.
- Comfort in high growth, rapidly changing business environments preferred
- Proven experience with manufacturing environment and cost accounting concepts preferred
