What you will do

Our Director - Technical Accounting is a leader on our accounting team and a key individual helping to ensure our accounting is accurate and in accordance with US GAAP, with situations requiring a technical point of view ranging from nuances in our day-to-day operations to new, unique, and complex transactions and other business arrangements.

This is an exciting role because it will provide you with an opportunity to help the business evaluate a broad spectrum of accounting matters that require your expertise. How you will do it

• Ensure timely research and accurate implementation of US GAAP standards. Key areas of expertise to be successful include revenue recognition (ASC 606), consolidations (ASC 810), leases (ASC 842) and business combinations (ASC 805), amongst others.
• Identify and assess the impact of current reporting trends and proposed US GAAP standards.
• Define and establish worldwide accounting policies and procedures for new US GAAP standards and assist with implementation.
• Prepare and advise on the timely and accurate documentation of accounting for significant and non-routine accounting transactions and events.
• Provide accurate and consistent US GAAP technical advice and training to the finance organization.
• Perform special projects and identify and analyze specific problem areas and make recommendations for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the SEC Reporting team, including reviewing quarterly and annual financial reports - Forms 10-Q/K, Irish Annual Report, etc.
• Assist with reviewing the accounting for more complex centralized accounting items, as needed - stock-based compensation, derivatives, pension, etc.

What we look for

• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience (technical accounting at a large, public company; Big 4 public accounting - national office experience is a plus; or a combination)
• Must be able to communicate and collaborate with global team members.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
