Micron's global Technical Leadership Program (TLP) offers engineers and scientists a career advancement path in the technical ladder. Our technical career advancement path is competitive and rewarding, providing engineers and technical leaders an opportunity to influence Micron's world leading memory and systems product roadmap. The TLP facilitates, organizes, and conducts internal technical seminars, innovation forums, and coordinates publication of global Micron technical journals.

As the Director of Micron's Technical Leadership Program office, you will drive this career advancement program for technical leaders across Micron's global footprint and organizations. In this role, you will build upon and strategically shape existing material, while augmenting areas with innovative improvement opportunities and encourage an overall culture of innovation. The Program Director is responsible for guiding the selection process, coordinating seminars and facilitating technical publications. They are also responsible for the metrics of the overall program that align technical career ladders with Micron's business outcomes that help us deliver to our vision and mission. You'll lead a small team of direct reports, work with external contractors, and closely collaborate with senior leaders and executives across all business units and departments.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create an environment and a culture that fosters innovation across organizations

  • Innovate and build upon business process and facilitate sessions that drive innovation and encourage teamwork across different organizations, leading to business solutions
  • Identify strategic programs that can train, mentor, and develop a pipeline of technical leaders across different organizations and demographics
  • Cultivate a pipeline of internal and external technical leaders that can solve Micron's technical challenges and deliver world leading memory solutions
  • Identify, facilitate, and evaluate program improvement and coordinate TLP operational and work committees
  • Build partnerships and collaborate with engineering, technical, and training groups to facilitate and coordinate global program alignment and facilitation

  • Lead all aspects of the member nomination process and guide selection business process
  • Lead Technical Leadership administrative functions through the preparation and facilitation of Global Technical Council Meetings, Functional Technical Council Meetings, and Local Technical Council Meetings
  • Supervise the program support team and coordinate administrative support with global sites and area representatives
  • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge across sites, business units, areas, and departments by developing and overseeing the execution of a communication strategy
  • Run the metrics and global budget for technical leadership programs

  • Manage Micron's internal technical seminars and journal publications. Specify, test, and direct the development of online tools and infrastructure for these world class conference and journal publication programs

  • Proficient with software tools required for workflow, website maintenance, and journal publications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, showing a proven ability to present information effectively to internal and external audience
  • Strong aptitude for analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools
  • Understand competitive landscape, benchmark area performance, drive improvements based on benchmarking, Industry knowledge

  • Define organizational roles to meet business commitments, establish clear goals, and manage organization to meet the goals
  • Ability to interact and influence across all levels of leaders across the organization
  • Skilled in building programs that reach across all demographics and building programs which encourage community building while enhancing innovation
  • Demonstrated business insight and strategic vision bolstered by an ability to execute
  • Adhere to company safety, labor, and ethics policies.

Education:

  • Technical degree preferred
  • Degree or equivalent experience in business or organization development
  • Established educational background in a technical field combined with good understanding of business process, program management, talent acquisition, and organization development

Experience:

At least 10 years of experience.

  • Must have led a small group of team members (5 or less) for at least 5 years
  • Handled a technical leadership program or worked in talent acquisition/organizational development areas for at least 5 years in a company
  • Experience working in a technical area will be considered an added benefit but not a requirement

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$142,000.00 - $284,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
