Responsibilities

• Define and lead the vision for world-class user education and assistance within the world's most advanced and usable data encryption platform.
• Partner closely with user experience, product management, and engineering to define the tools, process and innovations for the technical writing team.
• Extend the value proposition for users from traditional help to interstitial video, AI chatbots and other innovations.
• Hold the quality bar for usability and clarity as the top leader in the company focused on ensuring all users can understand concepts, and achieve their outcomes with the product.
• Mentor and lead a small but growing team of technical writers to develop in their profession and achieve their maximum impact, as individuals and as a team.
• Meet with and learn from customers directly concerning their joys and wishes for enhancements, across developer, administrator, auditor and knowledge worker personas.
• Partner with user research to form the research agenda, and intake learnings into the product development lifecycle.
• Empower and enable internal roles, and seek feedback and contributions from the likes of Sales Engineering, Technical Support and Customer Success, and DevOps
• Requirements• 10+ years of technical writing experience with ability to lead and build great teams• Should be able to create "big picture" strategy, along with the ability to provide detailed specific guidance to the team and enable them to execute more effectively and deliver products on time• Strong customer focus and a deep commitment to delivering products that create customer value and delightful experiences• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field is a plus . Advanced degrees preferred, but not necessary.• Strong technical aptitude with excellent visual and verbal communication skills. Quick learner• Experience with cloud native applications and technologies is a bonus• Experience selecting, and implementing editing and publishing tools• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic.• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done, and be a great example for others
