The Director of Technology and Innovation is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions for the company. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements, supporting and maintaining existing applications, and developing new technology solutions. The Director of Technology is also responsible for spurring innovation within the company and aligning technology projects with corporate objectives.
Preference will be given to candidates in the Greater New Orleans area, however candidates who are located in the continental United States that are willing to travel periodically will be considered.
Essential Job FunctionsÂ
- Provides leadership, strategic insights, planning oversight and management for all areas of IT strategy, development and implementationÂ
- Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or internal clients and recommends technical solutionsÂ
- Consult with executive team and department managers to identify business process improvements and enhance operational efficiencyÂ
- Produce detailed data analysis for management decisions and financial investor requirementsÂ
- Coordinate overall technology budgetÂ
- Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutionsÂ
- Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectationsÂ
- Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contractsÂ
- Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and third party vendors in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shootingÂ
- Manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that departmentÂ
- Responsible for Enterprise Applications Support and have a critical focus towards improving Employee Experience across the portfolio of applications and tool sets.Â
- Define, Track, and Measure Incident and Service SLAs and KPIs to keep the IT organization ahead of issue awareness and on-time resolution.Â
- Communicate effectively by collaborating with vendors and internal/external stakeholders to keep up with maintenance, upgrade, and new features/enhancements rollouts.
Education/ExperienceÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business, or similar is requiredÂ
- Master of Business Administration is preferredÂ
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience within Information Technology with a track record of increasing responsibility
- Minimum three (3) years leading teams and making decisions of significanceÂ
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
