Director, Technology Development

Role & Responsibilities

SCS Financial is looking for a technology leader to join the firm. As an experienced and trusted leader in the Technology group, this role will spearhead product onboarding, integration and management, as well as identify new opportunities and improvements in the firm’s existing technology stack.  This role will serve as a vital stakeholder and voice in shaping the direction of technology initiatives at SCS.

The Technology group is responsible for many of the integral operating functions that support the firm and as a member of the Tech team, this role will participate in the day-to-day support of the infrastructure that makes SCS run.

• Design, implement and manage software solutions
• Lead through continuous improvement: the application life cycle of assigned products
• Inform and guide solution designs, technical documentation, and diagrams of systems for associated projects
• Serve as a mentor and best-practices evangelist
• Facilitate cross-functional projects in support of end-user productivity and compute security
• Serve as a core stakeholder and leader in technology-related initiatives
• Other duties as directed by Management

Qualifications

• 10 - 15 years’ experience in product management, technology leadership or application development
• Masters in a related field is a plus
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience in financial services technology – investment accounting platforms, client relationship management (CRM) and client reporting software a plus
• Experience with databases, data pipelines and associated technologies
• Experience with cloud-based web applications and platforms
• Experience with cyber security platforms and best practices
• Experience leading technically oriented teams

This is an on-site role at our office location in Boston, MA.
