HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
The Traditional Asset Operations department is responsible for performing specialized securities processing activities and recording related transactions for traditional, publicly traded assets held by Millennium Trust Company as a custodian. The department consists of two teams - Trade Comparison, Clearance and Settlement (TCCS) and Account Maintenance Activities (AMA). The Director of Traditional Asset Operations is responsible for directing and overseeing these critical functions; supporting managers and staff; coordinating and streamlining workflows and processes; leading process improvement projects; and contributing to business development opportunities and strategy.
  • Direct and oversee day-to-day operations and counsel mangers on escalated issues
  • Review and approve high dollar transactions, correspondence and other work generated by the team
  • Develop, lead and effectively coordinate teams and processes to ensure smooth operations within and between the teams and other MTC departments
  • Establish and enforce effective policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls and to maximize accuracy and efficiency
  • Address and resolve significant operational issues and develop and communicate solutions to complex problems
  • Strategize and make recommendations and decisions that support new business and business strategy
  • Evaluate transaction and other departmental metrics to identify trends and effectively communicate results
  • Spearhead department automation, new business, and other projects
  • Oversee system testing and test plan updates to ensure that new system releases are properly reviewed
  • Supervise all internal and external audit activities
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to maximize departmental efficiency and optimize resources; direct others to implement appropriate changes
  • Foster an environment that promotes high performance and cooperation
  • Effectively communicate with Manager regarding departmental activities and issues
  • Work on key priorities as established by the Managing Director of Asset Operations
  • Other duties as assigned

IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field
  • 10+ years of applicable experience
  • Experience with trade clearance and settlement, position reconciliations, dividend/corporate actions processing, asset transfers, and securities trading
  • Familiarity with IRA and investment-related IRS tax requirements
  • High degree of numeric proficiency and research/data analysis abilities
  • Ability to think strategically and deal effectively with abstract and complex matters and long-term issues
  • Ability to create appropriate vision for the team
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and anticipate their consequences
  • Ability to understand the big picture as well as provide direction on the relevant details
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and schedule in an efficient and productive manner
  • Exceptional management, leadership, change management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, listening and collaboration skills
  • Ability to interact effectively, confidently, and credibly with peers and senior team members across the company
