Director, Treasury

We are seeking a hands-on detailed oriented Director for our Treasury function to serve as the primary resource for cash management activities, banking relationships, day-to-day treasury operations, investment initiatives, related analysis and reporting. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the successful candidate will also own a variety of month-end and quarter-end reporting tasks related to cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities. This position requires a person who performs at the highest level of accuracy and efficiency, is well organized, and demonstrates ownership and initiative to accomplish goals. Additionally, the candidate will be innovative to drive efficiencies through continual evaluation of our systems and business processes. In this role, you will be expected to be a key contributor and have exposure to Senior Management.

• Oversees all cash management initiatives, establishes policy, procedures and makes recommendations on investment initiatives
• Maintains banking relationships both in the US and international markets 
• Serves as the primary contact for Braze’s treasury department in terms of day-to-day banking operations and cross functional projects when needed
• Owns a variety of month-end and quarter-end reporting tasks related to cash, cash equivalents, marketable securities and the related footnotes/ disclosures 
• Responsible for all SOX controls related to the treasury function including tracking and maintaining documentation of compliance activity
• Manages the company’s corporate credit card program, policy and process for T&E cards
• Responsible for continually evaluating the current state and driving change through improvements in processes and tooling 
• Responsible for building and maintaining the company’s cash flow forecasts including building of a daily, weekly, quarterly and annual reporting package
• Participates with and assists FP&A in the preparation of the annual budget for the treasury function, including key inputs into the cash flow statement for annual planning
• Interfaces with external auditors during year-end audits and quarterly reviews, including preparation and review of PBC list items related to treasury
  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• MBA or advanced degree in finance preferred
• CFA or CTP strongly preferred
• SaaS or technology industry experience strongly preferred 
• 8+ years of progressive experience, with at least 1 year of experience working with senior management 
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, from clerical staff to executives, and manage relationships with external parties
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manages competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Experience working in a high-growth, publicly traded company, strongly preferred
• Solid organizational, analytical, and verbal / written communication skills.
