Director, Treasury Management Sales
Job Description
Position Goals:Develop and expand new and existing relationships through the specialization of treasury management and deposit banking products and services. Accomplish this while leading a team within the treasury management line of business, ensuring that the proper sales behaviors, revenue generation, and deposit gathering metrics are achieved for the assigned regions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Serve in a management capacity for the treasury management sales team. Provide direction and assistance with:
a. Issue resolution on questions from the team across the regions.
b. Resolution of complex customer issues.
c. Technical assistance for staff and customers.
d. Updates on changes with Treasury Management product, vendor, and technical issues, as necessary.
e. Communications with the partner group.
f. Development and maintenance of standard procedures.
2. Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, lead, coach, and supervise the treasury management sales officers and treasury management sales associates.
3. Draft and develop marketing strategies for treasury management sales, as well as marketing plans for current year goals.
4. Research competitor's products; analyze strategies to recommend advantageous marketing position.
5. Provide functional assistance or training to other lenders as it relates to treasury management products and sales.
6. Assist in the development of departmental goals and objectives.
7. Conduct annual reviews on clients to ensure proper pricing and identify cross-selling opportunities for your individual and the team's portfolios.
8. Promote and sell treasury management products and services through a blend of personal prospecting as well as partnering to develop internal and external referrals.
9. Manage the sales process, by reviewing account analysis statements for pricing proposals, request for proposals and the creation of sales materials for clients and prospects.
10. Remain current on product, industry and technical knowledge; all while staying up to date with regulatory changes.
11. Actively partner with, train and educate partner lines of business on treasury management products and services.
12. Prepare weekly/monthly sales and activity reports for management.
13. Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's degree in management, finance, accounting, marketing or a related field of study.
Experience - A minimum of three (3) years of treasury management, cash management or related experience.
Other - None.
Preferred Requirements:
Master's degree.
Business development or sales experience.
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or the ability and willingness to obtain certification.
