Job Summary
The Treasury Operations Director position is part of CNA's Investments Treasury & Corporate Development (ITCD) Division. This division is responsible for managing the firm's bank relationships and cash management activities, as well as trade settlement, analysis, accounting and reporting for the firm's $45+ billion investment portfolio. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate across the division and with various business units and external banking partners to align strategic initiatives with daily activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities may include:

• Along with the Assistant Treasurer, set the strategic direction of the Treasury Operations group. Interact with and collaboratively lead others across the organization and externally to address business issues and meet organizational objectives.
• Lead a team of approximately five individuals. This includes setting priorities consistent with company vision and strategy, providing direction on initiatives, scoping and assigning responsibilities, and performance reviews and talent development.
• Act as a liaison between Treasury, various business units within CNA, and our banks to deliver best-in-class treasury services, maintain and enhance the Workday Treasury Management System, and provide support and expertise on business and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Oversee the execution of cash management activities, opening/closing of bank accounts and related documentation requirements, access to bank portals, and bank transmissions.
• Participates in financial reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley reviews as needed. Completes audit requests, as required.

• Technical knowledge of banking processes, documentation, applications and controls is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• Typically a minimum of 9 years of related experience

• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation a plus
