The role.
The Director US Sales will fill a critical sales leadership role for Innomotics US responsible for employee development and getting results across a team, responsible for customer account development and customer care, and responsible for order intake across a geographically diverse team covering half of the United States. The ideal candidate for this role has proven success in technical sales in heavy industries and has some leadership and management experience.
This position reports to Innomotics LLC VP of Sales. The ideal candidate must be based near a major airport hub for ease of US travel, and the preferred geographical location for this candidate is in the US Northeast or US Southeast regions.
- Lead, train, empower and mentor the sales team. Develop training plans and improvement plans to address employee and team needs.
- Achieve annual and quarterly order intake quota targets across the whole portfolio. Assign quota to sales team for the annual Sales Commission Planning to drive performance and achievement of business objectives.
- Work at all levels of the customer organization from plants, engineering, procurement and the C-suite to achieve market share growth and market diversification in all product lines including Medium & Low Voltage Motors, Drives, Systems, Solutions and Services. Develop and maintain key customer relationships.
- Build and implement customer planning at all assigned End User, OEM, Distribution, Partner and EPC customers.
- Focus on serving customers, implementing continuous improvement of sales process, and developing sales professionals. Ensure comprehensive, living and action-oriented customer account plans. Effectively lead CRM process with a focused and detailed opportunity pipeline and order intake forecasting.
- Collaborate with global Innomotics factories and Portfolio Management teams to plan and implement strategies that meet future market needs, yield the best price, and deliver profitable growth.
- Collaborate with local business units on strategy formation and achievement of business objectives. Collaborate with proposal teams to ensure the most accurate and driven quotation offers.
Your profile.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of selling experience in motors & drives or similar technical industrial portfolio
- Validated selling process orientation that delivers results
- Validated leadership experience with direct reports
- Experience working in a multi-national company in a regional or national sales organization
- Able to anticipate market trends and implement initiatives to impact sales performance
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Travel as needed to support customers and the sales organization
The pay range for this position is $138,100 - $236,800. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
