We are looking for a dynamic design leader to both (a) act as an individual contributor, responsible for the design of our comprehensive product platform, and (b) begin to build a user experience team within the organization. As our first User Experience Director, you will be responsible for ensuring our software is easy to use, aesthetically professional, consistent, as well as simple and fast to use - in order to bring new life-improving to life-saving therapies to the market faster. Additionally, you will be tasked with evangelizing for the value of design within the organization, building a user experience team, working with developers and product managers, and conducting research with customers and users.

Our software is extremely powerful, data intensive, and feature-rich; therefore, our ideal candidate can provide project-based evidence of experiences where they have simplified complicated enterprise or B2B software.

- Create, maintain, and adhere to a cohesive style guide to ensure consistent design language is followed across the product
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and representative customer users to explore and iterate on design concepts
- Conduct usability testing to identify gaps or problems in design and improvement opportunities
- Provide advice and guidance on the use of design research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior
- Leverage user feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings in order to improve our products
- Participate in agile ceremonies to collaborate, ship, and improve products, working alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle
- Establish credibility within the organization and build a case for the creation of a design team
- Recruit, hire and mentor designers as the design team grows
