Director, Video Production

Bring our artists’ visions to life from pre- to post-production, creating short & long form video content, lyric videos, visualizers, official videos, motion graphics, animated album assets, docu-style film pieces etc. Creatively collaborate with the in-house design team & creative director on AWAL artist projects and AWAL brand initiatives. Conceptualize, direct & produce short and long-form video content to tell our artists’ stories and bring their album creative to life.

• Write treatments and develop ideas across all formats of video content for the AWAL artist roster.
• Manage all elements of original video content with a focus on both production and post-production, including narrative storytelling and live action shoots, animation and  motion graphics.
• Design, build and animate graphics packages. 
• Execute  lyric videos, visualizers, album release assets, tour visuals & more.
• Execute video content for AWAL brand initiatives with a deep understanding of how to apply brand guidelines thoughtfully for each project.

• A true video multi-hyphenate that works well individually and with larger teams as needed.
• Passionate about AWAL and its roster, crafting high quality content pieces & designs to bring our brand to life on social media & beyond.
• Expert in short-form and serial video content.
• Creative multi-hyphenate with the ability to communicate and execute a variety of aesthetic and multimedia styles.
• Strong design sensibility with an emphasis on title treatments and composition.
• Thrives while juggling multiple projects at one time.
• You’re curious and eager to experiment with new styles, a creative problem solver.
• Strong storytelling abilities, keen editorial judgment, and proven motion graphics skills.
• High level of attention to detail & excellent time management. 
• Knowledge of ever-evolving social and digital formats & best practices.
• Flexible and able to work on multiple projects with simultaneous schedules and deadlines.
• Ability to easily pivot between different design identities and styles.
• Proficient at color grading and matching.
• Skilled in Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite. 
• Google Business tools, Apple Keynote, Pinterest.
• Maxon Cinema4D, 3D, Blender etc. a huge bonus.
• 4+ years of experience at a label, agency, or similar environment filming, directing and editing videos.
• Include design portfolio with application.
