The Opportunity:

 We’re on a mission to transform healthcare and help people lead healthier, happier lives. As we continue to grow our organization and expand into many new markets, we are working to build out our national workforce planning command center. As a Director, Workforce Management, you will be responsible for designing, developing and executing workforce strategies that optimize resource use through a range of levers within a clinical operations department. Reporting to the VP, Workforce Management, you will support One Medical’s strategic growth and scalability-focused objectives, keeping the patient experience at the forefront of mind. 


With a passion for problem solving, you bring demonstrated experience analyzing data and processes to identify staffing challenges and solutions. Tech-savvy, you bring knowledge of workforce management software and the ability to optimize dashboards and reports that will help us to improve operational workflows. What you'll work on:

  • As an expert in workforce planning methodology, processes, and routines, you will serve as an internal consultant to operations leaders regarding the use of workforce data and analytics
  • Drive and develop One Medical’s workforce processes and routines across multiple stakeholders to facilitate the organization’s strategic and operations plans
  • Lead Workforce Planning process across multiple locations and operations, ensuring each site is managing to performance metrics at the detailed level
  • Develop and deliver presentations to senior executives regarding workforce dynamics and metrics that impact business outcomes.
  • Ensure timely routines and ongoing relationships are fostered and grown

What you’ll need: 

  • 8+ years experience in financial or operations planning environment in a medium or large company or 3+ years of leadership experience at a Director level working in an operations or operational planning environment 
  • Knowledge of business operations, and financial acumen as well as experience developing forecast and capacity plans
  • Proven leadership ability both in direct multifunctional team management and cross organizational influencing
  • Demonstrated detailed end-to-end process modeling to understand process flows, control points and improvements
  • Education focused on  statistical analysis, operations research, economics, finance, business administration, industrial engineering, or applicable discipline or, equivalent professional experience in these areas is required
  • Strong, independent decision-making ability and negotiation skills. Ability to master multiple priorities
  • Serves as a strong coach, values diversity, and motivates others
  • Excellent oral and written communication. Develops strong networks and ensures collaboration and consensus building

This is a full-time role based anywhere in the United States.

One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The base salary range for this role is $116,000 to $196,000.  However, actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate. These factors include, but are not limited to, job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees, and specific work location. 

The total compensation package for certain roles may also include additional components such as a sign-on bonus, annual performance bonus, equity grants in the form of RSUs, medical and other benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
