Maesa is currently seeking an individual to join our Finance team as the Director or Senior Director of Working Capital. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for managing Working Capital, focused on cash, inventory, accounts receivable and accounts payable. The Working Capital lead must fully engage across the finance, commercial, supply chain and procurement organizations, as well as other select areas impacting cash flows to develop relationships and cross functional partnerships. The role requires developing reporting and action oriented analytics based on current results. A significant responsibility of this role will be owning the direct and indirect cash flow models for the group, including creating, deploying and ensuring delivery against working capital targets. The working capital lead will be required to quickly come up to speed on Maesa systems and will require the candidate to develop/implement controls, approvals and escalation processes required to ensure delivery against budgets and stretch targets.
The role will work very closely with senior leaders in the organization as well as very regular interaction directly with our shareholders. As such, the candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of maturity in managing a diverse senior group of stakeholders, and be comfortable exhibiting strong leadership in a challenging, ambiguous environment. The role will report directly to the group CFO.
Pay Range: $170,000/yr - $215,000/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic partner focused on step change improvement in the cash conversion cycle of the business. Will need to understand the link between commercial/operational decisions and the impact on working capital, and the appropriate levers to structurally improve cash generation
- Own the direct and indirect cashflow models. Weekly / monthly forecast update, including forecast vs actual variance analysis, go-forward forecast process continuous improvement, shareholder reporting and explanation
- Lead target setting, deployment, measurement, reporting and delivery of working capital improvement: specific focus on inventory in a CPG/Beauty environment, but also AP and AR.
- Understanding of accounting and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow). Including non-working capital items impacting the cashflow such as financing costs in a highly leveraged environment
- Managerial courage to challenge and partner with senior cross functional business partners
- Ability to quickly develop cross functional relationships using strong interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills
- Adaptive to changing environment and business needs
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- 7-10 years of relevant financial analysis experience
- Must have strong analytical skills with an ability to maintain a cashflow model, monthly reporting and analysis using Microsoft Excel
- Strong oral and written presentation skills
- Interest in working in a fast-paced growth environment
- Excellent team-work skills
- Very Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Advanced knowledge of Excel required
- Experience with ERP system and business intelligence tools a plus (Epicor, PowerBi, Anaplan)
- Experience in beauty and fashion industries or CPG experience a plus
