Job Summary

It's a very exciting time in IT at Comcast as we work to productize IT. In this role, the Workplace IT Experience Director Product Management will be the chief employee experience advocate for Workplace IT Tools (Product Areas: Teamwork, Virtual Meetings, AV, Unified Communications). The Director Product Management will work with IT architecture and engineering to improve Workplace IT tool experiences to be simple, easy and exciting. The role will be the expert on the toolsets in the Product Areas listed above, with a huge focus on Microsoft Teams, Office 365 and the virtual meeting lifecycle (scheduling, joining, collaborating) - the role must get in and understand employee experiences to then build a strong vision for where the products need to go in order to move the business forward as a now global technology leader. The Director Product Management conducts user needs analysis and focus groups in developing product direction and influencing product improvement backlog. Handles vendor relationships to influence COTS product roadmaps to make tools more intuitive and meet the business needs. This job is an individual contributor role that does not have direct responsibility for supervision or performance management of staff at this time.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Internalizes, put themselves in the shoes of and represents the voice of the employee throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Performs business needs analysis and conducts employee/contractor experience research.
  • Establishes relationships with key vendors to understand and influence product roadmaps.
  • Teams with IT engineering to configure deliver simple to use, high quality experiences.
  • Participates in planning for improvements to product experience and features.
  • Communicate trends, opportunities, and risks, develop and defend POV for product features/benefits.
  • Conducts feasibility assessments, capability gap analysis (i.e., what is wanted vs. what is attainable).
  • Analyze technology trends in the Workplace IT tool subject areas.
  • Drive product marketing requirements.
  • Collect early product feedback from alpha/beta pilots.
  • Developing product launch plans and marketing collateral and executing.
  • Product messaging including business value, features and benefits.
  • Working with corporate communications and organizational change management resources to lead launch tours and product review programs / focus groups.
  • Generating customer success stories.
  • Developing methods to educate less technically savvy communities without alienating.

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Technology Management
