American Express Travel Related Services seeks Directors, Analytics to leverage data science and data analytics techniques to lead the scaling of new treatments, offers, and channels through advanced and innovative targeting strategies. Lead optimizing insights based on data analysis to improve the way American Express targets customers. Oversee launches of new targeted pilots for business expansion into consumer banking, working with Marketing and Business Development Teams. Manage personalized customer experiences in our phone channels that maximize the customer experience and drive incremental revenue through routing, talking points, and channel optimization. Drive the adaptation of traditional data-based targeting methodologies into innovative customer acquisition and retention strategies.

Position requires a Master's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Financial Engineering, Economics, Market Research, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with applying data analytics and data science to drive business results. Experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience with querying large and complex datasets using Big Data programming languages, including Python, Hive, SQL, and R; 2 years of experience with attrition risk spend attrition risk models, and risk analysis; 2 years of experience with A/B test strategies, machine learning regression, Random Tree, segmentation, and targeting model; 2 years of experience with end-to-end campaign executions, customer demographics, and competitive offers; and 2 years of experience with translating data-based insights into actionable business strategies. Telecommuting is available up to 3 days per week.

Job Location: New York, NY

Salary Range: :$132,741.00 - $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
