Responsibilities:
- Partner with operations leadership teams to build and execute the strategic direction for the business regarding EH&S performance and goals.
- Champion the EH&S strategy at all levels of the organization to drive ownership of a comprehensive approach to EH&S engagement.
- Develop a highly effective EH&S organization by providing change leadership and talent development to the EH&S team.
- Actively promote embedding EH&S in "what we do" and that EH&S is a shared responsibility rooted in the right EHS culture.
- Influence and coach business leaders on the development of robust action plan to improve EH&S performance.
- Direct and ensure proper resourcing both internally and externally with vendors for EH&S matters.
- Lead effective implementation of the EHS operating system and ongoing continuous improvement of all EH&S programs.
- Provide EH&S guidance and support related to the company's commitment to world-class Environment Social Governance (ESG)/sustainability performance.
- Evaluate practices and protocols to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Assist in leveraging best practices across the business to ensure the organization is being proactive in mitigating all risks and eliminating non-inherent safety risks.
- Consolidate EH&S reporting throughout the business on all required EH&S metrics.
- Build cross-functional relationships with key functions to foster support for continued EH&S improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Risk Management, or Environmental Science is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive work experience in a multi-site environment, supporting multiple lines of business, and experience/knowledge of risks involved in maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and lead teams, drive change, and interact cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, and influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.
- Track record of successfully leading change in culturally diverse business.
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside (customers and regulatory agencies).
