Disaster Recovery Specialist, DevOps Engineer (Freelance)

What You'll Do

• Monitor the health of applications and responding to alerts, such as service down, failed backup, and slow response time using existing monitoring solutions and documented disaster recovery plans
• Troubleshoot technical issues (JavaScript, Cloud etc.) or escalate and work with appropriate technology teams to provide solutions
• Call facilitation, coordination and communications during critical outage situations

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in DevOps and site reliability, with a focus on monitoring, incident response, and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, with expertise in JavaScript, Cloud technologies, and microservices.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for handling critical incidents.
• Proficiency in systems administration and change management practices.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and reporting tools.
• In-depth knowledge of network technologies and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with file transfer protocols (e.g., SFTP) and encryption technologies (SSL/TLS, PKI).
• Understanding of security controls as applied to software technologies.
• Solid understanding of network technologies

Pay Range

• The expected pay range for this role is $65-103 per hour but will depend on the level in which you are engaged
• Our company has three regional pay bands that it adheres to depending on your location, we reference them as US 1, US 2, and US 3.
• US 3 is our base pay. Examples of cities in US 3 are Portland, Houston and Miami.
• US 2 pay is 7.5% higher than US 3 to meet the market rates. Examples of cities in US 2 are Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle.
• US 1 pay is 15% higher than US 3 to meet market rates. Examples of cities in US 1 are Brooklyn and San Francisco.
