Disbursement Coordinator

BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of the Financial Services Disbursement Coordinator position is to support and assist our Factoring operations by facilitating cash disbursements to Factoring clients on a daily basis. This position will report to the Financial Services Accounting Manager.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Disbursement of client funds and daily cash disbursement reconciliations between the bank and our Factoring operating systems
• Cross Training on Factoring operations to better understand the invoice purchasing process
• Drafting client accounts in default of their service agreement
• Daily close of Factoring operations accounting entries for our Memphis Office
• Identify and assess potential opportunities for improvement
• Interact with other Factoring departments
• Other duties assigned as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience:
  • Accounting or Finance experience is a plus
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Skills:
  • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel and Factoring experience a plus
  • Soft Skills: Strong oral and verbal communication skills; ability to perform and make decisions under pressure and strict deadlines; excellent time management skills; detail oriented; ability to multitask and be a team player
• Typical Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
