Disbursement Technician

The Disbursement Technician will coordinate and control the day-to-day operations of the Cash Disbursements Unit in such a manner to meet corporate standards, compliance with corporate policies and protection of corporate assets. This position will process all financial records to include preparation & verification after scanning each document pertaining to all payments through the unit that have agreed to support service levels and proper controls and deal with all levels of operational and management employees.

• Knowledge of the various payment types of Cash Disbursements and knowing what business contacts for inquiry and problem solving.
• Process & safeguarding financial records.
• Able to negotiate/dispute corporate expenses with all employees, including management.
• Control and track all undeliverable checks through Cash Disbursements.
• Maintain and control supplemental cash drawer at the Employee Services Window and provide courteous and timely services to all employees.
• Assist in processing the issuance of all corporate disbursement checks.
• Handle inquiries from Cash Disbursement / Employee Services clients and consistently display an attitude of courtesy and service.
• Assist Senior Technician when needed including but not limited to security of the unit and all financial instruments, reconcile the petty cash fund, and complete bank deposits in exchange for cash from our local bank.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+years successful work experience in Cash Disbursement area or equivalent experience in similar work environment is required.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
