The following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team:

Department Description:

The Enterprise Services Organization includes Global Financial Services ("GFS"). GFS is a Shared Service, where the Accounts Payable ("A/P") function is split into two segregated roles in order to increase controls. Our Department, called Disbursements, is the second half of the A/P process.

While Disbursements does not process invoices, we do perform many of the A/P responsibilities you know and love (see list below). Our team's largest responsibility is to ensure that payments are made to our vendors timely, safely and efficiently. We also take the lead on process improvements and other projects, which means we have a great base of daily work coupled with other interesting and challenging initiatives.

What does the role offer?

• The Disbursements Senior Analyst is a key contributor within the team that oversees the payment of hundreds of thousands of transactions issued from 25+ legal entities, totaling billions of dollars. The support of this large, complex organization will provide you with a tremendous amount of challenge and variety.
• In addition to the general daily responsibilities, this role provides you an excellent opportunity to lead and participate in automation, integration and process improvement projects. These projects are where you can exercise your critical thinking and judgement skills, while providing tangible cost savings to the businesses we support.
• This is a corporate/shared services role, supporting the varied businesses in the Raytheon portfolio. This means you'll build relationships with the financial leadership of all of the businesses we support. Building this network will facilitate your career development.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Issue payruns out of multiple ERP's and confirm their acceptance by the bank; troubleshoot with Digital Technology and the bank when necessary
• Issue manual wires using various online banking portals
• Educate internal customers on how invoices get paid and the controls surrounding the process (fraud prevention, etc)
• Answer Customer Service requests (payment confirmations, etc)
• Process returned/rejected payments
• Process stop payments, recalls and reversals
• Address Positive Pay exceptions
• Respond to internal and external audit requests
• Work with Corporate Treasury to ensure that daily funding needs are met
• Support strategic initiatives, including integrations and divestitures
• Act as a Disbursements representative in project teams

Required minimum experience:

• The ideal candidate has 2 years of general experience in Accounts Payable with knowledge of payments
• Prior ERP systems experience (ie. SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, Dynamics, etc)

• General Accounting experience is preferred but not required
• Experience with SAP is strongly preferred
• Prior international payment knowledge and experience
• Is organized and can work independently to complete tasks

• Understands the controls surrounding Accounts Payable and how fraud is prevented
• Has a great personality, being able to speak with anyone at any level in the organization

• Can take the lead on small projects
• Wants to develop themselves, working towards the next step in their career

Education:

• Bachelor's degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance field required

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
