Job Description
- Expert in Structural Analysis and to provide support & guidance in Analysis task execution to the engineers
- Discipline Reviews to ensure high quality of delivery
- Proficiency enhancement programs and periodically conduct Discipline Health Reviews.
- To create and revise Standard Works and procedures
Primary activities including but not limited to the following:
- Use analysis software, such as ANSYS, to analyze the structural integrity of static and rotating Aerospace engine hardware
- Use analysis software to mesh and solve 2D and 3D models
- Complete modal and forced harmonic analysis
- Analyze stress changes due to defects that may result from field or manufacturing issues
- Use proprietary lifing software to determine Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) and Fracture Mechanics Life
- Read Aerospace drawings and specifications to understand material properties and defect descriptions
- Review technical memos & reports of analysis findings to be provided to customer
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and discussions (Design, Structures, Project)
Qualification:
- Master's Degree in Engineering from a reputed institute or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
Work Experience and Essential Skills:
- 15+ years of related work experience, including 5+ years of experience working in aerospace sector (aero engine experience)
- An expert in structural analysis methods and theory. • Ability to mentor others
- Microsoft office - PowerPoint for Redline Creation and Outlook for requests
- Experience with CAD software - Solidworks, UG/ NX and ANSYS software
- Reading technical prints, Teamcenter, follow Standard Works and produce Standard works for task execution
- Must have a well-rounded view on issues surrounding innovation, technologies, retail, production, and mobility services throughout the world and can propose solutions for local as well as global automotive markets.
- All-round knowledge of various technologies associated with Aerospace industry is the key
- Demonstrated development of a professional network and experience with handling aerospace clients
- Proven skills and the ability to proactively support/counsel key client relationship
- US Citizenship/Green Card required due to ITAR restrictions
Desirable Skills/Requirements:
- A strong interest and enthusiasm to develop and implement tailored strategies and business models in a dynamic global service environment and support clients to master their challenges
- Excellent research and communication (written and oral) skills. The ability to assimilate, analyse and summarize written material quickly
- The ability to inspire trust and confidence in clients as they may be making commercially-sensitive decisions, based on your advice, and will therefore need to trust your judgement and discretion
- High Technical skill and awareness for Benchmarking exercise.
- Ability to build and maintain strong and lasting relationships as a representative of the business
- Have all round awareness of various management functions.
