Formerly part of Grand Canyon University (GCU), GCE still supports and works closely with GCU. GCE designs and develops educational programs for GCU and other traditional campus institutions, as well as online partner institutions at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.

Grand Canyon Education is seeking a Discover Program Manager who is Responsible for managing the various elements involved in executing the Discover GCU events including leading student workers and collaborating with other departments to ensuring campus visitor satisfaction

What you will do:

• Hires, onboards, trains and serves as the primary leadership contact for student workers to ensure Discover GCU visitors have a positive experience.
• Ensures proper coverage and scheduling according to the needs of Discover GCU while maintaining target labor costs; ensures adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for nonexempt team members and youth employment.
• Establishes and ensures compliance with emergency and accident prevention protocols to ensure the safety of employees, Discover GCU visitors and other stakeholders.
• Acts to resolve complaints/concerns, accidents, damages, etc. and reports to the impacted parties.
• Ensures through observation and involvement, that team members are working to their full potential and delivering excellent customer service to Discover GCU visitors to ensure a productive and pleasant visit that assists prospects with their college decision.
• Collaborates with other Discover GCU team members and understands the function of each, demonstrating an ability to exercise oversight and good judgment in decision-making when escalations or situations requiring attention arise at any point during the event.
• Must be available to work a set schedule weekly, of (4) 10-hour shifts, which includes weekends and holidays during Discover season and an ability to work extended hours as needed for Discover GCU Event oversight and management. Off-season schedule is flexible. Must be punctual and committed to attendance schedule.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate in a professional manner with all stakeholders, including Discover GCU visitors, their parents, employees, other departments, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will have:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in leadership/supervisory role.
• Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background investigation
